WHO WE SUPPORT:
The Penticton Speedway Foundation has given back over $300,000 to the community the past 10 years through the generous support of racers, spectators, local businesses, organizations and wonderful people like you.
We give back to our community year-round through donations to Breakfast Clubs at local elementary schools, South Okanagan Women in Need Society, Critteraid, Discovery House, the South Okanagan Children’s Charity, JumpStart, the SOS Medical Foundation, and more.
The funds we raise stay in our community. Our board is operated by volunteers…we don’t take any administration fees.
Our primary focus is supporting breakfast programs in our school district through our “Penticton Breakfast Club”, which provides reliable access to a nutritious breakfast in a safe, supportive school environment with the goal of positively impacting student health, social development, and learning.
The Penticton Breakfast Program coordinates and runs programs at Queens Park, Westbench and Columbia Elementary schools. We also provide some funding to all other schools in the district to help with their programs.
With your donations, we are able to serve a nutritious breakfast, prepared by volunteers, five days a week, free of charge, to any student at these schools who wish to participate.
By making the program open, we help break any stigmas attached to the program.
Through the program, students are prepared for learning on a daily basis, based on the principle that a hungry student is not equipped to learn and that a nutritious breakfast positively impacts student focus, concentration and behavior.

HOW MONEY IS RAISED:
During the race season, we hold 50-50 raffles at each event, plus we raffle off larger prizes too.
We receive support from individuals and businesses, plus local groups like the Penticton Hospital Auxiliary, the Eagles, Rotary, to name a few.
We also brought back the very popular and well-known event “Business Gives Back” event in 2019 and raised over $70,000 in our first year.
2020 prevented us from hosting Business Gives Back and our regular 50-50 draws, but we got creative and raised money through new channels.
